Show number one, and Beat Kammerlander

Nalle Hukkataival, Cody Roth, Beat Kammerlander, and myself.

Tonight we had the first Pure show in Austria. We started in St. Anton which is a small mountain community about one hour west of Innsbruck. This is basically the warm-up tour, and our show tomorrow night here in Innsbruck will be the first big one on the tour. Tonight a very well known climber and photographer named Beat Kammerlander (pronounced Bay-Yacht) came to the show. He is a living legend. He is over 50 years old and recenty completed a 5.14 route on traditional gear... very impressive. He complimented the style of the filming in the movie and I was humbled to hear such nice things from someone such as Beat.

The show was well attended, and we had about the turnout we expected - just under 100 folks made it a nice small show to a pretty core audience in a small mountain town. Bernd Zangerl did a cool slide presentation before the film called Lost in Peru about his recent bouldering adventures there.

I am please to announce that Underground Chuck has come out of retirement, and he... ahem... I spun a set of drum n bass tonight after the show while everyone was hanging out drinking beer. Nalle grabbed my camera and snapped the photo.

It was a fun night and our tour is off to a good start.
